Modelling Birmingham Uni in Sketchup

I recently had to rely on some of my old knowledge on Google Sketchup to perform a rough model of the existing centre of the University of Birmingham. This was for my girlfriend’s project, which has something to do with the proposition of a remodelling of the university. She had to show the current design, with its under-utilised areas, and come up with with an alternative design that makes optimum use of the space.

After downloading the latest version of Sketchup (I was several updates behind because I had not opened the application in a while) I had to try my best to remember how to use the damn thing. I got up to speed with it in a matter of minutes, and spent the next few hours clicking and dragging away. She had a deadline to meet, so had to complete it in about 3 days, spending a total of about 6hrs on it.
